Southampton has a lot to offer!

There are so many attractions in Southampton that it can be hard to decide where to go. Do you take the family shopping? Take them to a Country Park, or the Zoo?

Here is a list of Southampton's top attractions, we are sure that you will find something that the whole family will enjoy!

Marwell Zoo

1. Marwell Zoo

A visit to Marwell Zoo is a chance to get up close and personal to the wonders of the natural world. Just by coming to Marwell Zoo, you are helping to preserve endangered species across the globe.

Marwell has a menagerie of animals, with everything from tigers, camels, bats, cheetahs, hippos, lizards and zebra to giraffes, wallabies and monkeys!

Throughout the park there are three large play areas, countless ice cream stands, café’s and you can even catch a free train ride! If that’s not enough then you can visit Marwell House, a beautiful building, covered in flowers and set in a stunning garden. It’s the perfect place for a picnic!

You have to take a trip to the Nation’s Thrill Capital!

Full of action packed rides and screaming rollercoasters, Thorpe Park is one of the best theme parks in the South of England!

New to 2013, The Swarm is taking over the park. This gut-wrenching roller-coaster might leave you gasping for breath, but you will definitely want to go back for more!

Throughout the park you will find attractions for all ages, including water float rides, tea cups, banana rides, loop rollercoasters, scary rollercoasters, like SAW and much more! There are also dozens of food outlets that sell everything from three course meals to ice cream, doughnuts, slush puppies and drinks.

The Mayflower is a brilliant charity that hosts a wide variety of performances all year round.

You can watch all of the classics come to life on the Mayflower’s stage, and you can see brand new acts too!

Royal Victoria Country Park

The Royal Victoria Country Park is a country park in Netley, Hampshire, England, by the shores of Southampton Water. It comprises 200 acres of mature woodland and grassy parkland, as well as a small shingle beach.

The Royal Victoria Country Park has so much to offer. From country walks and nature trails, a miniature railway, story trails, tower tours and children’s play areas to a heritage visitor centre; this Country Park has lots of fun activities and facilities to keep you entertained.
